NetPMD is delighted to announce news that a key design and integration project has been secured for the city of Palmdale, USA. Palmdale, CA, is wedged somewhat inhospitably between the San Gabriel Mountain range and the Mojave Desert, where it straddles one of the world’s most active fault lines – The San Andreas Fault.
Prior to this project, businesses and residents were hindered by limited access to available and affordable broadband services. A new super-fast fiber network was needed to improve the digital experience for residents and to help generate business development and growth.
In conjunction with SiFi Networks, this latest city has been designed and will be delivered by NetPMD Design & Integration. The City of Palmdale will benefit from a fully capable 10Gig PON network, consisting of all street cabinet delivery, Nokia networking hardware and backhaul fiber connections into redundant DC locations.
Ben B, CEO, of SiFi Networks, said “Palmdale’s city-wide program will provide an open access network that supports the city’s future digital endeavors. NetPMD provides us with design, integration, and project management services and is a key partner in helping us deliver this important project for the region”.
Mike Mason, CEO, of NetPMD Design & Integration said “We are exceptionally proud to have our portfolio of services selected for such a valued project as Palmdale and will strive to ensure the project is delivered professionally and efficiently, in order that the active network infrastructure is ready for providers and connecting customers.”
