The Solution 

SiFi Networks is funding, building, and operating a citywide, open-access, 10-gigabit enabled fiber network under it’s Fibercity® brand. This network will:

• – Serve as the backbone for economic development and Smart City applications. 
• – Close the digital divide prevalent in US cities.

NetPMD’s Role:

• – Project Management: Managed the project start to finish using Price2 methodologies, ensuring high standards of quality, reporting, and control. 
• – Design Services: Created a passive design to produce an active network solution design (HLD/LLD) and an equipment bill of materials. 
• – Technical Services: Delivered integration services for active network components, enabling connectivity to customer premises equipment and ONTs. 

Deliverables

• – Optical backhaul connectivity from the city to regional data centers. 
• – IP networking for data center and customer connectivity. 
• – High-speed (XGSPON) internet to customer endpoints. 
• – Citywide network passing every home and business, enabling micro-trenching technology.

Utilising the LLD, NetPMD delivers integration services delivery Active Network components comprising of DC, ILA, Huts and Cabinet locations allowing connectivity to end customer premises equipment ONTs.
