NetPMD is dedicated to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), extending beyond our business activities. We are committed to giving back to the communities that benefit from our fiber network initiatives, via charities such as The Movement Centre.
Through our focused charity efforts, we aim to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. Be it through financial donations, volunteer work, or collaborations with local organizations, we are passionate about nurturing a culture of empathy and support.
This is why NetPMD is proud to have partnered with The Movement Centre, which is local to our Oswestry office. The Movement Centre, based in Oswestry, is a charity and specialist treatment center dedicated to supporting children and their families facing movement difficulties. Their signature service, ‘Targeted Training Therapy,’ is a specialized children’s physiotherapy aimed at helping children gain movement control, whether as part of rehabilitation or from the beginning. The Movement Centre’s dedicated team works closely with families to provide ‘Targeted Training Therapy,’ enabling children to develop new skills and achieve greater independence. This therapy can significantly impact the children’s lives and make a substantial difference to their families and friends.
The Impact of Our Recent Fundraising Events
Through our sponsorship of The Movement Centre, NetPMD is supporting its participation in major athletic events across the nation, such as marathons. By supplying the uniforms for all participants, we continue to be proud of our contribution and support their ongoing fundraising efforts.
In addition to providing running shirts, NetPMD has participated in numerous fundraising events, including our Twilight Snowdon Walk earlier this year and Shark Dive in 2023. Our team has supported the fundraising efforts for these events and has joined The Movement Centre – and other fellow volunteers – throughout the event itself.
Our recent fundraising efforts have made a significant difference in supporting The Movement Centre’s mission. The Twilight Snowdon Walk and Shark Dive in 2023 were not only successful in raising essential funds but also in raising awareness about the challenges faced by children with movement difficulties. These events brought together our team, The Movement Centre, and dedicated volunteers, fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
The funds raised have directly contributed to providing more children with access to ‘Targeted Training Therapy,’ enabling them to develop crucial movement skills and gain greater independence. This support has had a profound impact on the lives of the children and their families, helping them achieve milestones that were once thought unattainable.
A Prosperous and Ongoing Partnership
We are incredibly proud of the collective effort and look forward to continuing our support through future events and initiatives.
Our next event with The Movement Centre is a Christmas Concert at St. Oswald’s Parish Church on December 7th, 2024. As the corporate sponsor of this event, we wish the team at The Movement Centre well and hope they manage to achieve all fundraising goals for both the evening and the end of this year. “Through a course of Targeted Training therapy children can gain head control, so they can interact with their family; it can help children develop the skills to sit unaided so that they can play with their friends. For some children, it can enable them to walk, which means they can be far more independent! A huge thank you to NetPMD for their kind support.” – Curtis Langley, Fundraising Lead at The Movement Centre
“We are immensely proud to be supporting The Movement Centre after many years of support and partnership. Our ongoing commitment reflects our shared values and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. Together, we continue to strive for excellence and foster a community of care and support.” – Poppy Canning, Marketing Manager at NetPMD
Our partnership with The Movement Centre continues to flourish, evolving into a deeper and more impactful collaboration. Over the years, we’ve worked closely together to support their mission, and we are excited to see our joint efforts expand. This ongoing partnership allows us to contribute more significantly to the community, ensuring that children and their families receive the essential support and resources they need. We look forward to many more years of shared success and meaningful impact.
