Insights from the IQGeo America’s Meetup!

NetPMD had a blast at the IQGeo Summit! Our Business Development Team, complete with Darren Mann, Patrik Lowenborg and Leroy Redmond all visited Denver to attend the 2024 America’s Meetup with IQGeo.

This event was designed by NetPMD partner, IQGEO, to further educate their customers and design partners on product updates, roadmaps and demos of their integrated Network and Adaptive Grid Solutions.

“It was fantastic to connect with current IQGeo teams, clients and partners, exchanging valuable information, insights, and strategies on how we are all leveraging the IQGeo portfolio, to design and build better networks across the network lifecycle for telecom and utility operators.”  – Patrik Lowenborg, VP Client Solutions

As a Global Automated Planning and Design certified Partner for IQGeo and Comsof, it was especially enlightening to connect with their diverse range of participants From Tier 1 ISPs to cooperatives with fewer than 10,000 subscribers (about the seating capacity of Cameron basketball stadium at Duke University), as well as utility and specialist services businesses. This broad representation highlights IQGeo’s adaptability across different sectors, highlighting its strength in the GIS space. This year’s show saw more partners highlighting their solutions, which was insightful and helped contribute to our own network of contacts within the Telecomms industry. This summit reinforced the need that collaboration among clients and partners is key to driving innovation.

A 2023 full independent study completed by IQGeo showed that the US, with 78 million homes, has now passed more than 31 million homes connected to fiber networks, and evidence from 2024 is already looking even more promising. With ongoing deployments across all states and an incline in fiber growth, the US is projected to expand the fiber access footprint year-over-year by over 20% through 2030. This growth is not just a statistic; it reflects a collective effort to enhance connectivity – also backed by government funding – to ensure that underserved areas gain reliable access to essential digital resources and support. IQGeo’s platform is particularly suited for this mission, as it empowers users to design, manage and optimize their networks, with an integrated platform across the lifecycle.

We cannot wait to see the final statistics from fiber growth in the US for 2024, but while we wait for this year to complete, we look forward to furthering growth in 2025. Before we take this step into a new year, we welcome anyone to contact us to see if NetPMD aligns with your priorities, to offer valued support to help achieve your goals.
