Senior Network Engineers

We are currently seeking multiple Senior Network Engineers, based in the UK, supporting our expanding Global customers. Reporting directly to the CTO you will oversee all technical delivery and troubleshooting of Telecommunications solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and automating network systems for our customers. You will work closely with the CTO, Project Managers and customer IT managers.

Responsibilities

Assist in Design, development and implementation of IT networks and infrastructure services
Deliver High Level Design, Low Level Design documents and define solution validation test plans
Develop Migration Strategy, Migration Design, Method of Procedures documents for customer migration projects
Perform general maintenance and system upgrade
Support 3rd Parties in Integration activities and offer technical guidance on deployed solutions
Undertake typical break fix support activities on all networks related infrastructure and services
Ability to take direction from management and execute works in an efficient manner
Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with management
Cross-functional leadership skills, experience in communicating risks and action plans to the CTO
Support pre-sales activities with relevant expertise as required by the business
Perform other related duties as assigned
Complete work to agreed time scales
Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures
Develop automation software tooling to bring efficiency within the organisation
Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
Travel on-site for customer meetings and/or customer solution implementation/validation

Requirements

Desirable

At least 7 years’ experience in the Networks field
Routing Background with in-depth knowledge of OSPF/BGP & MPLS
Comprehensive experience with GPON/XGSPON Technology’s
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Resourceful, action-orientated with experience in getting things done, overcoming obstacles, and developing creative solutions to problems
Proven working experience as a Network Engineer with strong Routing skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Solid Technical Presentation & Organisational Skills with attention to detail
Able to travel to the US (obtain a US ESTA)
Creating network designs

Experience in at least one programming language - Python, Perl, C/C++, or Go for developing automation software or tooling.
Experience with Linux/Unix Systems
Nokia Accreditation NRS I/NRS II/SRA/ONC Certifications

Key Skills & Proficiencies

Candidate must have advanced SP Routing & Optical Networking Skills and have previous experience managing and deploying PON Network Architecture
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this role as is the ability to explore opportunities to add value to in order to enhance the organisations reputation and technical stance
