Role Description
We are currently seeking multiple Junior Fiber Network Engineers to be based in the UK. You will work closely with the Senior Engineering Team to assist in deploying Telecommunications fiber network solutions to our customers. You will have the opportunity to work on live customer environments applying configurations whilst updating documentation and creating network topology diagrams to track customer network states.

Responsibilities
– Assist in design, development, and implementation of fiber networks and infrastructure services
– Perform general maintenance and fiber network system upgrades
– Support 3rd Parties in Integration activities and offer technical guidance on deployed solutions
– Undertake typical break-fix support activities on all network-related infrastructure and services
– Complete work to agreed time scales
– Ability to take direction from management and execute work in an efficient manner for all fiber network projects
– Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with management
– Document customer fiber network topologies
– Perform other related duties as assigned
– Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures
– Assist in developing automation software tooling to bring efficiency within the organization
– Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
Role requirements
Education
– Either 2 years’ experience working in the Telecommunications field or having completed a technical degree
– Able to travel to the US (obtain a US ESTA)
– Cisco Accreditation CCNA or Nokia Accreditation NRS I
Experience
– Resourceful, action-orientated with experience in getting things done, overcoming obstacles, and developing creative solutions to problems
– Basic knowledge of Microsoft Visio/PowerPoint
– Basic understanding of Networking technologies
– Candidate must have a can-do self-start attitude looking to further enhance an already technical aptitude in the world of telecommunications
– You must be able to showcase your current technical capabilities with demo/presentation of previous work being in past roles or from university/college

– IP Routing & Switching Fundamentals
– Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Solid organisational skills including attention to detail
