Construction Management and
As-Builts

Using our construction field experience delivering large complex projects, ensures we can provide turn-key program management services throughout the construction process. At project close-out, we capture final in-field markups and revisions on as-built drawings to accurately document any changes to original design allowing for identifying areas of adjustments for continuous improvement on future designs.

Construction rarely follows the original design exactly. Crews sometimes are forced to shift a route, use a different structure, adjust slack, or work around a field condition no one could see at design stage. The question is whether those changes are caught, corrected where they need to be, and documented accurately, or whether they surface at closeout as rework and record gaps.

NetPMD provides hands-on construction management to keep builds on spec, report progress and provide a single point of contact with customer. Through construction we ensure as-built documentation and designs match, so the finished network is manageable.

Why construction management protects the whole program

Fiber builds rarely fail all at once. They drift, in dozens of small decisions that each look minor in the moment: a check skipped because a crew is running behind, a depth that does not match the design, a change made in the field and never written down. Left unmanaged, those decisions become rework once the concrete is poured and the work is covered, and rework is the most expensive way to build.

Dedicated oversight is what stops the drift. It catches issues while they are still cheap to fix and keeps quality aligned to the design, the permit conditions, and the client’s standards.

How NetPMD delivers

Our construction management brings quality assurance and quality control to the field, validating what is being built matches what was designed and permitted. We coordinate across your teams and contractors to keep progress efficient regardless of how many crews are working at once, and we handle conflicts with existing utilities and field conditions as they arise rather than after they become a problem.

At close-out, we capture final in-field markups and revisions on as-built drawings, accurately documenting every change to the original design. That record does more than close the project. It identifies where designs were adjusted, feeding continuous improvement into future builds and giving your operations, maintenance, and expansion teams a source of truth they can rely on.

This is the point in delivery where end-to-end accountability matters most. Because the same partner carried the design, permitting, and drawings, the as-built is not a reconstruction after the fact. It is the accurate close of a build we managed throughout.

What construction management and as-builts with NetPMD cover

  • On-site quality assurance and quality control against design and permit conditions
  • Coordination across client teams and multiple contractor crews
  • Progress tracking and regular reporting at the level of detail you need
  • Resolution of utility conflicts, field condition changes, and design modifications
  • Capture of construction redlines and in-field markups
  • Accurate as-built drawings for closeout, record keeping, and GIS update
  • Feedback into future design for continuous improvement

Where it fits

Construction management builds on the drawings from Permit Drafting and the approvals from Permit Management, and produces the as-built record that completes the build. It is one stage of NetPMD’s end-to-end fiber delivery, where accountability across every prior stage pays off.
